The Kitchen
Mrs. Patten and her team of lunch-time assistants prepare the children's and staff lunches every day using fresh produce. The menus are carefully chosen to ensure compliance with all of the latest food regulations and are changed termly to ensure variety of content and maximum child satisfaction. To achieve this high standard we took advice from Barry Warren-Watson, a well known chef and local restaurateur, who came to the school to talk to the children about diet and foods essential for health and growth.
Children with specific dietary needs and with known allergies can often be catered for within the menu choices. Where this proves impossible then Parents are welcome to supply their own, prepared food which Mrs. Patten, the cook, will reheat or serve for them.
All kitchen staff have, as a minimum requirement, the recognised food handling and hygiene certificates.
Mrs Patten and her team start a new Lunch Salad Bar.
