Mrs. Carn becomes Principal

Dear Parents.

It is now some thirty years since we took over the school from Mr. and Mrs. Heath and began to mould it to our ideas. In that time we have seen many educational theories come and go but our school has continued to provide a sound, traditional education for the children in our care.

Since the year 2000 we have turned over the day to day running of the school to our appointed headteachers who have largely continued our educational paths although each has also contributed to the growth and modernisation of the school. This Mr. Gladwin will continue to do for the foreseeable future where many new and exciting initiatives will continue to enhance the education of your children.

It is now time to bring forward our daughter, Mrs. Carn, as Principal and for her, working with Mr. Gladwin, to lead the school forward retaining our traditional ethos of sound, broad based education but entwining it with the more modern, technical approach to management that the school needs. Many Parents will know that Mrs. Carn and her husband are responsible for the new website which has received such acclaim.

We will continue as owners and governors and will receive regular reports from Mr. Gladwin but, from September he will report to Mrs. Carn on a more regular basis. We shall remain in the background using our experience to offer guidance should they feel that they need it.

I am sure that all Parents will join with us in wishing Mrs. Carn every success in her new role.
