Science Extravaganza

HEATHCOTE GETS READY TO PUT ON THE SCHOOL'S FIRST EVER SCIENCE EXTRAVAGANZA!

Friday 12th March, 2010 - Thanks to the hard work and ehthusiasm of Science Coordinator, Mr.Ormond, the children are excited and ready to impress with the scientific skills.  These wacky and wonderfully talented scientists will be in the Danbury Village Hall from 5-7pm where all are invited to come and possibly learn something new about science in the modern world.  With prizes being donated by the P.A. for the wackiest looking scientist, it promises to be a great event and with many local industries from the science world coming to support the fair, we look forward to welcoming you.

Mrs Carn reports " It was a fantastic evening! The children were in their element and I was so impressed by the level of scientific knowledge that they have gained and the way they were able to confidently explain their different topics and demonstrate them too.  Mr. Ormond has worked so hard with the children and has clearly enthused them with his passion for this subject.  The children looked great dressed as mad scientists and the winners were given some super science books by the Parents Association.  It was another new event that we have launched this year that promises to become a highly popular annual event in the school calendar."   Click here to see pictures of the event. .
