Form 2 Kit

 

When your child goes into Form II they will need the following equipment:

A set of felt tips

A pair of scissors

One 30 cm. and one 15 cm. ruler (not bendy please)

4 HB pencils / propelling pencils

A rubber (white) and a pencil sharpener that collects shavings

A set of good, coloured pencils. (Not wax crayons).

A gold and silver pen (medium thickness), not gel pens please

A pritt stick

EACH OF THE ABOVE ITEMS SHOULD BE NAMED AND ARE KEPT PERMANENTLY IN SCHOOL. A DUPLICATE SET SHOULD BE KEPT

AT HOME FOR HOMEWORK.   ANY NEW ITEMS SENT IN DURING THE COURSE OF THE YEAR SHOULD ALSO BE NAMED.

A PENCIL BOX IS NOT REQUIRED, CHILDREN HAVE A SPECIAL BOX IN SCHOOL.

Also required are:

A painting apron for art and handwork

A Times Table book (It is advisable to buy this A.S.A.P.)

A small backpack to be used on school trips for lunch and equipment.

A clipboard - to be used through to Form VI and sent in as required.

Girls will require ballet shoes if they are doing dance classes.

White plimsolls for everyone for hall work  to be kept in school ALL THE TIME in a plimsoll bag on their peg. Plimsolls available from

B.Stean footwear, Melbourne Avenue, Chelmsford and other footwear outlets.

 

Please check the uniform list to make sure that your child has all the necessary sports kit to be sent for games lessons.

We would also ask parents to ensure that rain macs are kept in school bags at all times.

 

PLEASE REMEMBER TO NAME EVERY ITEM including underwear, footwear, bags, pencils etc. The school does NOT have a lost

property box and named items are returned immediately. Un-named items are held for a while, to allow for claiming, and then passed to

the Parents Association for sale.

 

During the holidays please practise counting BACKWARDS from 100 with your child, it will make Maths in Form II much easier for them.

If your child has shoe laces please would you help them practice tying them, they will need this skill when changing for P.E. and games.

Boys should be able to tie their own ties.
