The Heathcote School Parents Association (the PA) is a registered charity set up to raise money to provide those little extras to the school for the benefit of the children. The PA provides items such as funding Internet access for the computer suite and paying for the annual visit of the Caveman workshop for Form 1. In addition, specific equipment for use in the school ranging from digital pianos and goalposts, to batik equipment and netball bibs. Many of the bikes and playground toys for the pre-school were paid for by money raised by the PA. Fund raising takes various forms. More recent events have included an Easter Egg Hunt, a Toy Sale and the "Stars in their Eyes" talent competition. The annual Quiz Night is always a source of much enjoyment for all and the design and printing of tea towels on which were self-portraits by all the children in the school was very well-supported. A fashion show in collaboration with the local dress agency proved to be very successful. The PA has a class representative for each class in the school. The reps are usually the source of any information and will sell tickets for events. If you have an idea for any new and different events, your class rep would love to hear about it. Additionally, if you wish to help please let them know or come along to the next meeting. The P.A. do lots of work for the school and arrange many events for fun and to raise money for charity. The school are extremely appreciative of this. To date the
following events have been booked.
