Carol Services |
|
As part of our Christmas celebrations the whole school, together with many parents, walk to the parish church of St. John where the school Christmas carol service takes place. Along with many old favourites such as O Come All Ye Faithful the choir will perform new carols and the whole school will sing several less well known carols. The Head Boy and Girl and their deputies will read the lessons and the service finishes with a rousing 'We wish you a Merry Christmas'. After the service the children walk back to the school where the Parents Association and the kitchen staff have prepared a full Christmas dinner for them complete with crackers. The school also hosts a 'Carols on the Green' carol service for Parents and villagers which is proving more and more popular. The Parents Associatin provide mulled wine and mince pies to keep out the cold. |
