Heathcote School and Nursery prides itself in the quality of our teaching and support staff. Mrs Samantha Scott (MEd Cantab) is our current Head Teacher.
Heathcote regularly receives awards and recognition for our participation and successes in external competitions and qualifications.
In February 2019, Heathcote was inspected by the Independent School Inspectorate (ISI). They strongly affirm that Heathcote is a happy and extremely successful school, where children are supported and encouraged, and meet the high aspirations staff have for them. Heathcote was rated ‘Excellent’ in all areas.
Our school and nursery are open 48 weeks of the year through the combination of our formal terms and holiday club.
Every school holiday, Heathcote School welcomes pupils from all schools, age 2-11 years, to our Holiday Club!
Friends of Heathcote School is a registered charity run by a group of volunteer parents.
Mrs. K. Latham founded Heathcote School in 1935 to meet the growing need for an independent school in the Danbury area. The original school opened at Heathcote House on Danbury Common and moved to its present location around 1940.
