Wow! What an absolutely fantastic day the whole of Heathcote School had on Wednesday. Mr Ormond planned and held a wonderful Science Day, where all pupils and staff dressed up as Wacky Scientists. Not only did the children put hard work and effort into their outfits, they also demonstrated excellent dedication and heaps of energy whilst conducting their science activities and experiments. The whole day was incredible and made us extremely proud. There were so many thrilling experiments taking place around the school in which the children demonstrated their genuine eagerness to learn and engage, especially in the afternoon Science Workshop. Key Stage 2 held an array of investigations and experiments for the rest of the school, teachers and parents to explore and learn from each of the children. We were very lucky to have the wonderful Emma Ormond, Essex Wildlife Trust’s Living Landscapes Coordinator, supply the children with knowledge and hands-on investigations. What a wonderful day had by all and the children, yet again, astounded us with their enthusiasm and team-work. Thank you Mr Ormond for all your hard work and a brilliant day. Very well done to all Heathcote pupils!
