Mr Daniels and Mrs Howles
Before half term, we welcomed Gosfield School to Heathcote to play a netball and football match against the year 5 and 6 children. Starting with the football, the year 5’s drew 2-2 and the year 6’s won 3-2. This was a fantastic afternoon from all the boys and they all showed great passion and determination to show they really wanted to win.
Mrs Howles watched the girls play out of their skin in their matches. She was truly impressed how they played. With sharp and accurate passing adding to the superb shooting this underlined how well the girls played as a team. The girls won 3 out of 4 matches and overall I was very pleased with the girls’ performance. Well done.
On 9th February it was the year 5 and 6 cross country race at Chelmer Park. It was a very cold day and all the children did extremely well to achieve such fantastic positions. Well done to all the children and special congratulations to both Zoe and Annabelle who came 4th in their races. A hard course to run in those conditions and a huge achievement to all who took part well done.
This week we have the year 3 and 4 cross country race at Melbourne Park. Good luck to all the runners and we look forward to your results.
